Back to the 90's....It's an SCC Thang

So, I dropped a mere $5 on a used copy of Celly Cel's Killa Kali, and after a short listen, the memories started pouring in. Why'd I ever sell this CD, hell, "It's Goin Down" alone is worth $5? So, as I listened, a slew of other albums came to mind.

The Click-Game Related

-A few crummy albums and solo projects later, the last man standing is E-40 with his comeback classic, My Ghetto Report. But, if we can get B-Legit, D-Shot and Suga-T back in full form, it'd be on. Til then, keep bumpin this in your ride and you can't go wrong.

South Central Cartel-N Gatz We Truss

-Once again, the demise of a classic group, whose last triumph was All Day, Every Day. But, rumor has it Fall 2007 will bring us a new album with Havoc and Prodeje back together. Will it be an SCC thang once again?

Spice 1-Amerikkka's Nightmare

-This was Spice 1's 3rd and last real effort. Sadly, he's never been able to top the creativity or impact of Spice 1 and 187 He Wrote. But still, he keeps spittin out albums like there's no tomorrow.

Compton's Most Wanted-Straight Check 'N Em

-I pretty much gave up on MC Eiht after this effort, but his single on the Boyz-N-the-Hood soundtrack will live on. I can only hear "Geeeah" so many times before I'm like "Next."

If these aren't part of your collection, then you ain't Gangsta.

I watched a documentary today called Slippin: 10 Years with the Bloods. Oh yea, the Crip and Blood (Crab and Slob) rivalry is what helped fuel the music above. This is a story about a few of the Rollin' 20's Bloods who decided to get out of the game and the hood after realizing that death or the clink were the bleak future of bangin. It was worth the watch, but my favorite gang flick still remains Gang Wars: Bangin in Little Rock.

Keep Bangin!
